Waldschaenke in Zweiflingen

We have always had very good experiences here. Expensive, but you don't indulge in anything else. We will remember our three visits for a long time.

Switch off-rustic-just great

Very cozy atmosphere, but the food does not hold what the name Friedrichsruhe promises. The ravioli had a weird consistency and the taste left much to be desired. But that served on a Swabian onion roast ready-fried cold onions, was then the summit!

The food is good, but if you have to wait for 2 hours and then a larger group in a suit that comes 1 hour after us, is preferred, that's just annoying! Maultaschen with potato salad did not taste so great .. If you want to eat here, can expect a few hours of waiting time, also to pay the bill took a long time.

Was already there often and always go back gladly. The food is very good, the ambiance is nice and the staff is very friendly!

Encouraged by the countless positive reviews, we went yesterday evening in the Waldschänke in anticipation of typical Swabian cuisine. What a big disappointment! For one thing, the spaetzle at the court of my husband was almost cold and hard, tasted just like the day before, only slightly warmed up. The ravioli with potato salad I ordered was even worse, except that this dish was as cold as if it had been pulled out of the refrigerator and left in the microwave for a minute: the potato salad had a cut-firm consistency and tasted as if it was made either from chilled potatoes or as if it had been in the fridge for a day or two (had that typical inuit flavor of cold potato). The ravioli were a fantasy of hard-hewn up together like a hipped roof, with old multiple-heated flakes of grated cheese (??) sprinkled pasta dough filled with a mass of old and dry-tasting meat loaf which had been previously wrapped in a different wrapping shape. When cutting this so-called Maultasche this dried-up fantasy structure fell apart immediately into many small bits. Rarely eaten so badly and disappointingly.

Nice design concept, very small map and for a hotel restaurant extremely short opening times. Only because of the food I would not drive here.

Today we sat on the spacious terrace and let ourselves be pampered by the attentive and friendly service. The greeting from the kitchen was delicious and our two salads a treat for the eye and the palate. Highly recommended and worth a stop.

Although not much choice of food but what they offer is very good and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was also fast and delicious

Today were on Good Friday fish buffet. Very tasty, good value for money. Pleasant coworkers. Come again.

On the phone we had to say exactly how many people we are, because allegedly everything is almost fully booked. We sat almost alone in the restaurant! The 500g steak was 300g "bone?" and fat rind. Baked potato and Maultaschen had gone out! In Hohenlohe? For Zander there was mashed potatoes from the bag with half cooked pumpkin. Ambience very nice! All in all: very disappointing and not worth the money. No second time.

Delicious and nicely prepared dishes. Attentive and friendly staff. It was a nice evening. Gladly again. Priced in a pleasant setting.

Very warm and cozy in the winter, I really liked my meal.
